                    The Centre

Situated in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, Moorcroft Racehorse Welfare Centre provides the very best of care and excellent facilities to all of our wonderful horses awaiting a new home and a new life.

After their arduous careers on the track come to an end, our horses are assessed in a calm and peaceful atmosphere, before going on to new and caring homes, and even new careers in dressage and eventing.

Moorcroft is approved by the ROR (Retraining of Racehorses) and partly financed by them - otherwise we depend on the generosity of sponsors - the expense of feed and good-quality horse care can be an uphill struggle, but we are proud to give the best level of care that we can, and which we feel each of our fantastic horses deserve.

We welcome visitors by appointment and particularly riding club groups or other groups of people who are interested to see how we retrain these horses and to see some of the horses we have at the centre working in the school. We would be happy to give you an informal demonstration of what methods we use, what problems we encounter and what successes we have. Please phone Mary on 07929 666408 to discuss this.

The administration of our charity is carried out voluntarily by all our officers from the Chairman downwards.
